Representing God in the thoughts you think.

At times I have acted like I was nice and loving all the time thinking thoughts that were not nice and loving. This is what God calls being a hypocrite.

It is my belief that if  you claim to represent God by being some sort of religious person yet you misrepresent God in the thoughts you think you misrepresent God more than if you did not claim to represent Him.

God cannot change. He cannot misrepresent Himself in the thoughts He thinks. He has only ever thought loving thoughts towards you. He has never thought hurtful thoughts towards anyone.

If you are misrepresenting God in the thoughts you think, you are hurting yourself. God would not be Who He Is if He did not try to help you.

Matthew 9:4 Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts?

1 Chronicle 29:18 Lord, the God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac and Israel, keep these desires and thoughts in the hearts of your people forever, and keep their hearts loyal to you.

If you have been misrepresenting God in the thoughts you have been thinking, God wants to help you turn to back to Him.

Acts 8:22 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.

Psalm 139:7 How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!

Proverbs 14:8 The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception.

Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.

Isaiah 55:9 As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
