I have struggled to forgive and love those who I thought hurt someone I valued very highly.  I have struggled to accept God's forgiveness. I thought He did not want me, that He hated me.

Of yourself you may struggle to forgive .    You first need to receive an understanding that you have been forgiven.   You need to understand you have been forgiven, not because of what you have said or done, but because God would rather cease to exist than not have a future with you.     It is up to you to accept His forgiveness.

Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and tender-hearted to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.

Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive any complaint you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Colossians 1:14 He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace,

Matthew 20:28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Mathew 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Romans 12:14 Bless those who persecute you. Bless and do not curse.

If we are enabled to receive God's forgiveness we in turn need to forgive others, otherwise we end up  misrepresenting Who God Is and in so doing hurting ourselves and others (God is hurt when those He values more than Himself, hurt themselves by not forgiving)
