What you want

At times I  have wanted many things. At times I have wanted to be seen "as smart" At times I have wanted to be seen " as right" At times I have wanted to be seen "as important", At times I have wanted to be seen "as nice" At times I have wanted to be seen "as spiritual" At times I have wanted "a job". At times I have wanted to be married (family), At times I have wanted to own things.

You only need to want what you only need to want. IF you want something you do not need to want, wanting what you do not need to want can be counterproductive.

God, Whoever HE Is has only and will ever only want you.   If you want something other than God, you are misrepresenting God. It is my belief that if you know how much God wants you, you in turn will be more inclined to want Him. I believe if the only future you want is God, you will be more able to allow you to be more accepting of what He has already done.

Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Deuteronomy 6:5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

Deuteronomy 30:10 if you obey the Lord your God and keep his commands and decrees that are written in this Book of the Law and turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Joshua 24:23 Now then,” said Joshua, “throw away the foreign gods that are among you and yield your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”

1 Samuel 14:7 “Do all that you have in mind,” his armor-bearer said. “Go ahead; I am with you heart and soul.”

1 Kings 2:4 ‘If your descendants watch how they live, and if they walk faithfully before me with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’

1 Kings 8:58 May he turn our hearts to him, to walk in obedience to him and keep the commands, decrees and laws he gave our ancestors.

1 Kings 8:61 And may your hearts be fully committed to the Lord our God, to live by his decrees and obey his commands, as at this time.”

2 Kings 23:25 Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him who turned to the Lord as he did—with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength, in accordance with all the Law of Moses.

Luke 10:27 He answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
