More on Representing God from your heart.

I have at times acted like I was "good", and "perfect" etc while my motivation for being  "good," and "perfect", etc was not to be "good and perfect", rather it was to be seen as being "good and perfect".

If you act like you are  "good" and "perfect"  etc  yet on the other hand you misrepresent God in your motivation, you misrepresent God more than if you did not act like you are "good" and "perfect"  etc.

Romans 2:22 You who say that people should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?

God hates anything that hurts you and others of you. If you are misrepresenting God in your heart, this is hurting you and or others of you.

Romans 12:9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

God in his heart wants nothing more than you. God wants to help you from your heart want nothing more than you want Him.

Psalm 63:8 I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.

God in his heart wants nothing more than you. I believe God takes no pleasure when you want something more than Him  leading to death.  I believe God takes no pleasure in what you have said  and done if you have said  and done  things all the time misrepresenting Him in your heart.

Ecclesiastes 5:1 Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.

1 Samuel 15:22 But Samuel replied: “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.

Psalm 40:6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire— but my ears you have opened— burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require.

Proverbs 21:3 To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

Hosea 6:6 For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.

Matthew 9:13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Mark 12:33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

Hebrews 10:8 First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law.

Ezekiel 18: 23  Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?

Ezekiel 18:32 For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!

Ezekiel 33:11 Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’

Proverbs 11:20 The Lord detests those whose hearts are perverse, but he delights in those whose ways are blameless.

Jeremiah 9:24 but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.

Micah 7:18 Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.
