Living the truth

It is no use walking anywhere to preach unless our walking is our preaching.

Francis of Assisi

I have at times told others how I thought God wanted them to live while not living it myself. This is what God calls being "a hypocrite" I have struggled living the truth. At times I have condemned and blamed other people. At times I have been bitter towards God and other people. At times I have not been  loving and forgiving other people. At times I have not wanted others to be better than me.  At times  I have not been a person who has always wanted nothing more than God and in turn others of you.

Being a hypocrite misrepresents God as God has not nor will ever tell you to do something that He Himself would not do.  He lives the truth that He communicates He lives.

God wants to help you live the truth not out of a sense of duty, but because you actually want to.

If you have hurt yourself by not living the Truth, God does not want to condemn you. He wants to help you turn back to not just obeying the truth in word only, but in realty, by living it.

1 John 3:23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.

Psalm 12:2 Everyone lies to their neighbor; they flatter with their lips but harbor deception in their hearts.

Psalm 52:3 You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth.

1 Isaiah 1:13 Stop bringing meaningless offerings! Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations— I cannot bear your worthless assemblies.

Jeremiah 5:31 The prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way. But what will you do in the end?

Jeremiah 6:13 From the least to the greatest, all are greedy for gain; prophets and priests alike, all practice deceit.

Matthew 12: 34

You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

Matthew 15:8 These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

John 8:55 Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and obey his word.

1 Corinthians 4:17  For this reason I have sent to you Timothy, my son whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church.

Ephesians 4:25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

1 John 2:4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.

1 John 3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

1 John 4:20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.

James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

It is my belief that if you are struggling living the truth, one of the main reasons that you are struggling living the truth is you are struggling knowing (knowing in your heart) God. IF you better know (know in your heart) God I believe you will be better able to live the truth .

Isaiah 61:6 And you will be called priests of the Lord, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast.

Ezekiel 44:28 I am to be the only inheritance the priests have. You are to give them no possession in Israel; I will be their possession.
