Living the truth

I have at times told others how I thought God wanted them to live while not living it myself. I guess this is what you could call being "a hypocrite" I have struggled living the truth. At times I have struggled loving and forgiving other people.

Being a hypocrite misrepresents God as God has not nor will ever tell you to do something that He Himself would not do.  He lives the truth that He communicates He lives. If you claim to be some sort of religious person who represents God, yet on the other hand you misrepresent Him, you misrepresent Him more than if you did not claim to represent Him.

Jeremiah 5:31 The prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way. But what will you do in the end?

Jeremiah 6:13 From the least to the greatest, all are greedy for gain; prophets and priests alike, all practice deceit.

James 1:26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.

James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

It is my belief that if you are struggling living the truth, one of the main reasons that you are struggling living the truth is you are struggling understanding Who God Is. IF you better understand Who God Is I believe you will be better able to live the truth .

Isaiah 61:6 And you will be called priests of the Lord, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast.

Ezekiel 44:28 I am to be the only inheritance the priests have. You are to give them no possession in Israel; I will be their possession.
