Teach the Truth

Job 34:32 Teach me what I cannot see; if I have done wrong, I will not do so again.’

 God has never wanted you to not know the truth.  

Hosea 6:6 For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. 

1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

God wants you to know the truth. 

Exodus 18:20 Teach them his decrees and instructions, and show them the way they are to live and how they are to behave.

Deuteronomy 4:1 Now, Israel, hear the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.

Deuteronomy 4:10 Remember the day you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, when he said to me, “Assemble the people before me to hear my words so that they may learn to revere me as long as they live in the land and may teach them to their children.”

Deuteronomy 11:19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Deuteronomy 32:2 Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.

Ezra 7:25 And you, Ezra, in accordance with the wisdom of your God, which you possess, appoint magistrates and judges to administer justice to all the people of Trans-Euphrates—all who know the laws of your God. And you are to teach any who do not know them.

God wants you to know the truth  for no other reason than for your good.

Deuteronomy 30:20 and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Isaiah 48:17 This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.

Deuteronomy 4:9 Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.

If you have misrepresented the truth, deciding to turn back from misrepresenting the truth helps you know the truth.

Proverbs 1:23 Repent at my rebuke! Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, I will make known to you my teachings.

Jeremiah 31: 19 After I strayed, I repented; after I came to understand, I beat my breast. I was ashamed and humiliated because I bore the disgrace of my youth.’

Acts 26:26 First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds.

Revelation 3:3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

 If  you do not want to know the truth  God is not going to force you.  

Exodus 4:1 Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you’?”

Deuteronomy 1:43 So I told you, but you would not listen. You rebelled against the Lord’s command and in your arrogance you marched up into the hill country.

Leviticus 26:14 But if you will not listen to me and carry out all these commands,

Jeremiah 22:21 I warned you when you felt secure, but you said, ‘I will not listen!’ This has been your way from your youth; you have not obeyed me.

Jeremiah 25:3 For twenty-three years—from the thirteenth year of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah until this very day—the word of the Lord has come to me and I have spoken to you again and again, but you have not listened.

Romans 1:25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

Thessalonians 2:10-11 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing.They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 

 The absence of truth can be very detrimental to societal decision accuracy 

Deuteronomy 17:11 

Act according to whatever they teach you and the decisions they give you. Do not turn aside from what they tell you, to the right or to the left.

and mental health.

Romans 1:28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

God wants you to know him in your heart. 

When you know him in your heart you will know the truth, as God is The Truth. 

God wants you to know Him even  His  Son Jesus Christ knows Him. 

John 17:3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

John 3: 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.

1 John 5:20 We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
