Education

Sometimes the most educated people know the least. Sometimes the least educated people know the most.   What is the point of an education?

An education has a point if it helps you know the truth. An education has no point if it does not help you know the truth. An education is harmful if it teaches you things that are not true.

Better an uneducated person who knows the truth than an educated person who does not.

Those who love you will teach you things that help you know the truth.

Proverbs 22:19 So that your trust may be in the Lord, I teach you today, even you.

Those who hate you will teach you things that harm you (things that are not true).

Malachi 2:8 But you have turned from the way and by your teaching have caused many to stumble; you have violated the covenant with Levi,” says the Lord Almighty.

The way teaching is done can hurt you. The teacher who wants to help you will practice what he or she teaches.

Romans 2:21 you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?.

Titus 2:7 In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness

The teacher who wants to help you will only teach what the teacher knows to be true.

1 Timothy 1:7 They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.

You don't need to know everything.    He Who knows everything will teach you all that you don't currently know that you need to know, otherwise He would not be Who He Is.   Therefore an education that helps you know Who He Is is the best education.

Psalm 94:10 Does He Who teaches mankind lack knowledge?

Isaiah 48:17 This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.

Isaiah 54:13 All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.

Jeremiah 31:34 No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
