Wanting others to be better than you

I have said (or not said) and done (or not done) things to be more important than another. I have said (or not said) and done (or not done) things to be more intelligent than another. I have acted  like I "knew" more than another.  I have said (or not said) and done (or not done) things that gave the impression the purpose I was given was a product of me. I have acted like what I owned was a result of my hard work. I have acted "perfect" to be more "perfect" than another. I have accepted the praise of people and have often been reluctant to speak the truth because I have wanted to create a "good impression"    I have been proud.   I have misrepresented the humility of God.

Ecclesiastes 8:9 All this I saw, as I applied my mind to everything done under the sun. There is a time when a man lords it over others to his own hurt.

Humility: In everything not wanting to be better than anyone .

Humility:  being happier if others are more important, are more wanted, are more recognized, work harder, are more correct, be more perfect, are more noticed, represent God the most, are more used by God, are more able to be in control, are more right, know more, are more loving, are more humble, more nice, have more money, more friends, more family, more educated, more attention, are more popular etc, than you.

God in His heart has never wanted to be better than anyone.   He wants you to be better off, more important, more successful, more famous, more useful, etc than He Is.

Everything He has ever done has been because He wants you to be better than Him.

You are hurting yourself if you want to be better than anyone. If you have hurt yourself by wanting to be better than anyone, God does not want to condemn you. He wants to help you turn back to wanting others to be better than you.
