As You Are
I am that prodigal son who wasted all the portion entrusted to me by my father. But I have not yet fallen at my father's knees. I have not yet begun to put away from me the enticements of my former riotous living.
As hard as I tried to be perfect I was a hypocrite who was continually misrepresenting God. If God hadn't help me know the Truth about His nature, I would not be able to represent Him at all.
There is nothing you can say or do that can change how much God wants you. If you have never been real good at representing God, yet you come to God as you are, you represent God's nature more than if you had never outwardly misrepresented God, etc yet never come to God because you may have imagined He doesn't think you are worth anything.
There is nothing you can do to make God want you any more. He wants you for no other reason than He wants nothing more than you.
