Physical Death
For about seven years of my life I desired to die. During this period of time I searched for some logical reason as to why I should not end my life.
Death cometh to all, but not all of us think about death. There would be nothing wrong with not thinking about death if there was nothing you could do to better prepare for death. If there is something you could do that would help you (and others of you) to better prepare for death I believe it would be something worth thinking about.
I believe not all that die are ready for death. How can you be sure you are ready to die? If you are unsure you are ready for death you may not be ready. You will know if this is you.
Of yourself you are not able to be ready, otherwise you already would be. God Himself would reveal all Who He IS to you so much so that you would be content if the only future you ever had was Him.
Ecclesiastes 7:4 A wise person thinks a lot about death, while a fool thinks only about having a good time.
Ecclesiastes 8:8 None of us can hold back our spirit from departing. None of us has the power to prevent the day of our death. There is no escaping that obligation, that dark battle. And in the face of death, wickedness will certainly not rescue the wicked.
Job 14: 14 Can the dead live again? If so, this would give me hope through all my years of struggle, and I would eagerly await the release of death.
John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
Hebrews 2:14-15 Therefore, since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity, so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is, the devil, and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
Isaiah 46:4 Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
