You do not have to continue hurting yourself.

He that is kind is free, though he is a slave; he that is evil is a slave, though he be a king.

Saint Augustine

I have done many things I have regretted doing. I have misrepresented God financially, in relationships, being prideful, being disrespectful, being unforgiving, in my attitude(s) etc. I have been very slow to want to stop hurting myself. .

One of the reasons I have struggled in life is because I have not turned back from what I needed to turn back from.

You can be hurting yourself and not even be aware you are hurting yourself.  . Anything that misrepresents God hurts you.  It is more important to take action to remove what is hurting you than it is to take action on just about anything else.

There is not a lot of point in continuing to hurt yourself if you do not have to.   Continuing to hurt yourself does not help anyone.

Turning away from what has been hurting you helps you no longer hurt yourself.

If you have hurt yourself, God does not want to condemn you. He wants to help you turn back to no longer hurting yourself.   It is not to late to be all you were made to be.
