He Is Worth More than the Hurt You Have Caused Him

I have committed what God calls adultery, I have gone broke, My involvement directly contributed to my brother's decision to end his life. I have been full of guilt.

When someone you value higher than yourself is hurt, it hurts you.

God values you more than He values Himself.

Misrepresenting God in your heart has hurt you and in so doing has hurt God

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned (misrepresented God) and fall short of the glory (worth) of God,

Luke 16:15--but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God’s sight.

How can someone who has hurt God be right with God?

1 Samuel 2:25 If one person sins against another, God may mediate for the offender; but if anyone sins against the Lord, who will intercede for them?”

Job 40:4 “I am unworthy—how can I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth.

Psalm 41:4 I said, “Have mercy on me, Lord; heal me, for I have sinned against you.”

Luke 15:19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’

Luke 15:21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

Luke 18:13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’

Of yourself you are not able too.

Pslam 1:5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

1 Peter 4:18 And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”

You will never be free from the hurt you have caused, unless Someone Exists Who has willingly provided a way for you to be free from the hurt you have caused.

Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins   are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

1 John 4:10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Revelation 3:18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

IT can be hard to receive something from God if you do not think God thinks you are worth anything.

Acts 13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.

God values you higher than Himself, He would rather be no more than live without you being right with Him, even if you have misrepresented God the most of all

1 Timothy 1:15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.

1 Timothy 1:16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.

There exists no hurt that is more than the Worth of the Only Begotten Son of God.

Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory (worth) and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Hebrews 9:12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.

Hebrews 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

Hebrews 9:26 Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
