Who He Is
I have not known the Truth about God. A lie about God killed my brother and removed the will to live from my life.
Who Is God?
If God is like some of the people you may have encountered in your life, would you want to know Him? If God is anything like some of the religions He isn't worth knowing. Why would you want to know a psychopath?
Of yourself you cannot overcome the hurt in your life, otherwise you already would have. Of yourself, you will never create the unconditional love, trust, acceptance, etc you seek, otherwise you already would have. Of yourself you will never bring about the purpose or dream that is part of who you are. If what you need, you cannot create you will never have what you need. For your life to have any meaning what you need must be available. It is not available from you, otherwise you would already have it. It is not available from the relationships that you have tried. It is not available from the food you have eaten. It is not available from the money you have earned. It is not available from the parent you had. It is not available from the drinks you have drunken. It is not available from the work you have tried. It is available from He Who creates all and everything you seek. He Who creates what you seek is known as God. It is He Who desires you receive unconditional love, trust, acceptance etc, required for life to have any meaning. Acts 17: 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
Even though you may not consciously acknowledge the existence of God you have an unconscious perception of Who He Is. The pain in your life you can think God caused. The absence of truth can cause hurt which is for many to painful to mention. Of ourselves we do not have the power to create what you need. God Himself is the only One. If He can not or does not desire help you know Who He Is there is no point in your life.
How can you know Someone you have never seen?
John 5:37..... Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
Of yourself you cannot know Who He Is, otherwise you already would. There is no point in your life unless God exists and has created a way for you to know and understand Him.
This way is not through me or you (or anything you or me can do), it is through His Son Jesus Christ. 1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. , John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me".
Isaiah 43:10 “You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.
It is possible to know God by knowing Someone Who knows God
John 8:19 If you know me (Jesus Christ), you know my Father as well."
John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Matthew 11:27 All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
The God Who willingly sent Someone Who gave Himself up for you Who He valued more than His eternal existence. The Someone Who valued a future with you more than His eternal existence. This Someone is the exact representation of God. This Someone is Jesus Christ, the One and only begotten Son of God.
1 Corinthians 8: 6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
And having loved them He (Jesus Christ) loved them to the end. Jesus Christ is the exact representation of God . He who has seen me (Jesus Christ) has seen the Father (God). John 12:44 “Whoever believes in me (Jesus Christ) does not believe in me only, but in the One Who sent me.

Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Just as God is united with Jesus Christ, so to God wants to be united with you
John 17:21 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Just as God lives in Jesus Christ, so to God wants to live in you
2 Corinthians 5:19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
Just as Jesus Christ knows in his heart the love God has for Him so to God wants you to know in your heart the love He has for you
John 17:26 I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”
Just as Jesus Christ is one with God, so to God wants to be one with you
John 17:10 -11 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
Just as God dwells in Jesus Christ, so to God wants to dwell in you
Ezekiel 37:27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

You Who desire I no longer hurt Myself,
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
You Who gave all you are so that I can be with you
1 Thessalonians 5:10 Who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
Knowing You Who gave your all makes me want to give my all.
2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
You Who willingly want my life to have a purpose
Ephesians 5: 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
You Who would rather be nothing at all so I could know you than be anything at all without me knowing you.
1 Corinthians 9:22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.
You Who willingly from your heart want me to want to know You.

You Who are Who You Say You Are
Hebrews 6:13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, he swore be Himself. surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you." That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.
You Who value me more than You value Yourself .
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
You Who want to satisfy my deepest hearts longing.

You Who willingly want to free me from all the hurt within me
John 8:36 "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed."
You Who willingly want me to understand you .
John 8:47 "He who is of God hears God's words;"
You Who willingly want to reveal all of Who You Are to me.
John 17:3 "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." Hebrews:8:11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, Know the Lord, for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.
You Who willingly want to remove all that is hurting me within me.
Philippians 2:13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
You Who willingly from your heart want Who I Am to be as perfect as Who You Are
2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Colossians 1: 22 In the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight. 1 Thessalonians 5:10 Who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Hebrews 8: 12 "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."
You Who willingly from your heart gave All You Are so all I Am could be as perfect as You Are

You Who willingly from your heart want me to know how You feel toward me.
2 Corinthians 2:4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you, with many tears, not that you should be grieved, but that you might know the love which I have so abundantly for you.
You who willingly want me to know the meaning of what you say.
Timothy 1:5 Desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm.
You Who willingly give a place for me in your family

You Who willingly want me to know all You have given Me
1 Corinthians 1:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
You Who willingly want me to know what You have prepared for me.
1 Corinthians 1: 9 "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.
You Who would rather be nothing at all, than be anything at all when I am nothing at all.

You Who willing want to give up All You are so I can be with You and be as blameless As You Are

You Who want to free me from the need to please men.

You Who want me to be emotionally whole.
Galatians 4:27 For it is written, "Rejoice, O barren you who do not bear! Break forth and shout, you who are not in labor! For the desolate has many more children than she who has a husband!" Galatians 5:16 Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
You Who desire to do good to all, especially those Who have become part of You.
Galatians 5: 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
You Who are mindful of Who I AM
Hebrews 2:6 What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You take care of Him?
You Who never have wanted to leave me without you.

You Who willingly want Who I Am to represent Who You Are.
Galatians 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me. Galatians 2:6 -God shows personal favoritism to no man.
You Who sincerely care for my state.
Philippians 2: 20 For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state.
You Who are more precious to Me than everything other than you.
Philippians 3:8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for who I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish that I may gain Christ.
You Who want to help me more than you want to help You.
Romans 13:9 "You shall love your neighbour as yourself" 1 Corinthians 10:24 Let no one seek his own, but each one the other's well-being.
You Who know the hurt I have known.

You Who have only ever been Who You Are

You Who would rather have nothing than have anything while I have nothing.
Romans 11: 35 "Or who has first given to Him, and it shall be repaid to Him?" 2 Corinthians 12: 14 --for I do not seek yours, but you. For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children. And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls.
You Who willingly want me know Who You Are, even though I did not want you
Romans 11:32 For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all. Ephesians 2: 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near.
You Who willingly want me to know Who You Are, even though I did not want you
Romans 10 : 20 But Isaiah is very bold and says: " I was found by those who did not seek Me; I was made manifest to those who did not ask for Me'" 1 Timothy 2: 4 Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
Romans 10: 9 That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
You Who willingly want Me to part of your family
Romans 9:25 "I will call them My people, who were not My people, and her beloved, who was not beloved." Ephesians 2: 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. Now,, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.
To You, nothing is more valuable than me.
Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, no powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor anything other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
You Who are for me, not against me.

You Who want Me to be part of your family.

You Who want me to know you want me.
Romans 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father,"
You Who make me qualified to minister.
2 Corinthians 3: 6 who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
When I know you gave all You are for Me, I am willing to give all I am to You

Those Who represent You, represent You
1 Corinthians 11:1 Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.
You Who have only ever wanted Me to be more than You.
1 Corinthians 10:33 Just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
You Who allow Me to help others know You.
2 Corinthians 5:18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
The more I know You, the more I want to be nowhere other than where You Are.
2 Corinthians 5:6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord.
You Who do not want to hold the hurt I have caused against me.
2 Corinthians 5:19 That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word or reconciliation. You Who have never nor will ever lie.

You Who fill me with goodness and knowledge.

You Who want me to know what to do and say.

You Who are delighted when I show your love.
Titus 1:7 For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.
You Who do not want to condemn me for the hurt I have caused
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Colossians 2: 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirement that was against us, which was contrary to us, and he has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
You Whose goodness leads me back to you.
Romans 2:4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
You Who comfort me through it all.
2 Corinthians 1:4 Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort we ourselves are comforted of God.
You Who free me from continuing to hurt myself.
Romans 6:7 For he who has died has been freed from sin. Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace.
You Who never have been false.
Romans 2:21 You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal?
Knowing You gives life.
Romans 7:4 -that you may be married to another-to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.
Of myself I am nothing
Romans 7:18 For I know that in me, (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to preform what is good I do not find.
You Who forgave Me when I could not forgive Me
Colossians 3:13 Bearing with on another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
Knowing You is knowing the most Trustworthy of All
1 Timothy 4:10 For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. 1 Timothy 5:5 Now she who is really a widow, and left alone, trusts in God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day.
You Who replace the hurt in Me with all that you feel towards Me.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness self-control.
You Who replace the hurt in ME with all that you feel towards Me.

I have tried to be confident but have failed. In my lack of confidence help me receive the confidence that only you can provide.
I have tried to love but have failed. In my lack of love help me receive the love that only you can provide.
I have tried to be humble but have failed. In my pride help me receive the humility that only you can provide.
I have tried to be strong but have failed. In my weakness help me receive the strength that only you can provide.
I have tried to do your will but have failed. In my disobedience help me receive the obedience that only you can provide.
I have tried to hear your voice but have failed. In my deafness help me receive the hearing that only you can provide
