More on wanting what God wants

What does God want?

God wants you to live a full life. Deuteronomy 6:2 so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life.

Representing God leads to life, therefore God wants you to represent Him. Proverbs 10:16 The wages of the righteous is life, but the earnings of the wicked are sin and death.

If you have imagined something is true when it is not true, it can be very hard to represent God.  God wants to help you know the truth about Him. When you know God in your heart, you will know the truth about Him. Therefore God wants you to know him in your heart.

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

As much as God wants to help you  live a full  life,  there is something God wants more. God wants nothing more than you.

You are the only future God  has ever wanted . God would rather have no future than have a future without you. Nothing you can say or do hurts Him more than a future without you.

God with all his heart wants you.   If you have wanted something more than you want God, God wants to help you. He wants you turn back to wanting nothing more than you want Him.

Mark 1:15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

If the only thing you ever do on this earth is to turn back to God, you have done more than some religious person who has never repented for wanting something more than God.

Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Luke 15:7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

No matter what you may or may not have done, said or have not said, there is absolutely nothing that hurts God more than a future without you.

John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

This includes anyone of you.

Matthew 21:31 “Which of the two did what his father wanted?” “The first,” they answered. Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you.

Mark 2:17 On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Mark 10:14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Acts 13:9 Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
