Serving others

It is not hard to obey when we love the one whom we obey.

Saint Ignatius

  I have done (or not done) and said (or not said) things for  attention, "to be popular", to be wanted by others, "be seen as someone important" rather than from a willing desire of serving   and in so doing I have misrepresented the serving nature of God.

God willingly with his whole heart (wholeheartedly) serves you anything else is a misrepresentation of God.

I believe when you know in your heart how much God wants you, you will naturally want to serve Him.

If you have hurt yourself by not willingly with your whole heart wanting to serve anyone, God wants to help you. You can turn back to willingly wanting to serve God and inturn others of you to the same extent that God wants to serve you and in turn others of you.

Mark 10:42-43 Jesus called them together and said, “You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 43 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,44 and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Acts 20:19 I served the Lord with great humility and with tears and in the midst of severe testing by the plots of my Jewish opponents.

Romans 12:7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;

2 Corinthians 11:8 I robbed other churches by receiving support from them so as to serve you.

Galatians 5:13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

Ephesians 6:5 -8 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. 7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, 8 because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.

Philippians 2:22 But you know that Timothy has proved himself, because as a son with his father he has served with me in the work of the gospel.

Philippians 3:3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh—

1 Thessalonians 1:9 for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,

1 Timothy 6:2 Those who have believing masters should not show them disrespect just because they are fellow believers. Instead, they should serve them even better because their masters are dear to them as fellow believers and are devoted to the welfare of their slaves.

1 Philippians 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

1 Peter 5:2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve;
