I have hated myself because of the hurt I have caused.
Just because you hate yourself does not mean Someone else hates you.
Someone exists Who does not hate you for being you. This same Someone would rather be no more than live while you become no more.
Romans 9:3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
This same Someone has never nor will ever not hate the things you have done and continue to do that hurt you and others of you.
It is possible to think you have not/ are not hurting yourself when you actually are.
Luke 5: 31-32 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
It is not truthful to pretend you have not/ are not hurting yourself if you are.
Mark 7:6 He answered them, “Isaiah prophesied correctly about you hypocrites, as it is written: This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
You not hurting yourself any more gives God great joy, only then can you be truly you (who you are).
Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
